Garbage disposals sometimes stop working as they need to be reset. This is an easy thing to accomplish. Underneath your kitchen sink is the garbage disposal. Most of the time these are black and circular/oval shaped. Take your hand and feel underneath. There will either be a button or a hole. If there is a button, just press the button, give it a few minutes and then try using the garbage disposal. If there is a hole, you may need an allen wrench or something small like a paperclip to be able to hit the button. Once you do, givve it a few mintues and try using the garbage disposal.

To keep your garbage disposal from getting stinky, put orange or lemon peels in it once in a while.
